Dissolution of My Self Is Out Now
1.0 is on Steam. The demo remains. The spoiler window is short. The ending count is still one.
Pop Elephant Studio posted “Dissolution of My Self Is Out Now!” on September 3, 2026. That is the commercial 1.0 drop, not another Next Fest booth. This page is the launch-week packet: what shipped, what is still a demo, what the studio asked you not to upload yet, and which wiki pages to open instead of a comments thread.
Times, languages, and the FAQ sit in more detail on launch notes and Before You Buy. Demo-only bugs stay on demo changelog.
What “out now” means on the clock
- United States: September 3, 2026, 5:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM EDT
- Beijing: September 4, 8:00 AM
- Japan: September 4, 9:00 AM
- Platform: Steam Windows, app 4573760
- Demo: still listed (app 4683580) and on itch.io
If you launch the wrong executable, you will file 1.0 bugs that were already patched in the demo tree. Check the appid. Demo guide explains the split.
Price window
List $5.99. Launch discount 10% for about two weeks ($5.39). Store copy in some regions pointed at September 17 as the end of the introductory offer. Japanese press listed 790 yen with the same 10% off. Always read the live Steam widget. This page will not pretend to be IsThereAnyDeal.
What 1.0 includes (and does not)
Includes: the full 3–4 hour investigation, ten Steam achievements, Family Sharing, English / Japanese / Simplified Chinese text, Japanese voice. Voice cast names the actors. Achievements names the badges.
Does not include: extra endings, combat, a monster closet, a console build, a codes system, a French dub. The Before You Buy FAQ was posted the day before launch specifically so people would not refund the game for missing those things.
Press on launch week (Automaton West, Noisy Pixel, 4Gamer) repeated the same mechanical facts: click objects, memories blur, one ending, no jumpscares. If a thumbnail promised a true ending, it is selling a different game. Endings is the wiki’s version of that sentence.
Spoiler and upload request
The studio asked players to mark story discussions and to delay full playthrough uploads until about September 17, 2026. That date is also roughly when the launch discount was slated to end. This wiki treats both as launch-week rules: we embed investigation videos, not credits dumps. English demo footage lives on the demo page. A Japanese investigation series is on the walkthrough.
If you finish before the 17th and want to talk, use a spoiler warning. If you want to 100% the badges, two files covering both pill attitudes are enough. You do not need a third campaign. Pills and choices explains why.
Reviews at launch
The Steam storefront opened in Positive / Very Positive territory on a small sample (dozens of reviews, not thousands). That is a signal that people who read the store page got the game they read. It is not a Metacritic. Read content warnings before you treat a percentage as permission.
What to do in the first hour of 1.0
- Confirm you are on app 4573760, not the demo.
- Plug in a mouse. Set text speed and character voice volume. How to play.
- Decide the pill attitude for this file. Pills.
- Click, watch objects blur, do not hunt a second finale. Objects, walkthrough.
- After credits, use achievements and the memory order planner on a second file if you care.
Official channels if 1.0 actually breaks: Steam news, X @popelephant1, Discord, mail popelephant2024@gmail.com — collected on Links. When news and this page disagree, news wins.
The game is out. The room is still one room. The discount is not a new ending.
