Dissolution of My Self Tools
Paper-simple trackers for a game that deletes its own interface as you play.
Dissolution of My Self does not ship a public API, a damage calculator, or a tier list. The useful “tools” are trackers for a room that shrinks. This hub points at the memory order planner and explains how to use it with room objects, pills, and achievements without turning the wiki into a fake flowchart.
If you want story, open Characters. If you want patches, open Updates.
What a tool can honestly do here
- Remember which hotspots you already spent.
- Remember whether this file takes pills or gives up treatment.
- Remember that layer text can change, so the apartment copy is not a stable screenshot.
- Remind you that none of the above creates a second ending.
That is the entire tool category. Anyone selling you a drop-rate spreadsheet is in the wrong genre.
Memory order planner
The memory order page is a checklist you can copy: window, television, chairs, medicine, papers/passport, other furniture. You mark clicked, blurred, and a one-line mood note. Mood notes exist because Hector is an unreliable narrator. Official copy says his state of mind colors the memory. A window after medicine is not the same window as a window before medicine.
Use one copy of the list per save file. File A and File B should not share checkmarks. The walkthrough already recommends opposite pill attitudes on a second run.
Settings as a tool
Before you need paper, use the in-game tools the demo added:
- Text speed
- Voice replay
- Character voice volume
- Title-screen settings
Those are the quality-of-life patch. They are documented on demo changelog. A mouse is also a tool. Trackpads failed testers. How to play is blunt about it.
What not to build
Do not build a three-ending chart. Do not build a combat rotation. Do not build a multiplayer invite helper. Facts for this game: released, Steam Windows, single-player only, single ending. The review will not become more mechanical if you wait.
If you want official buttons instead of trackers, Links has Steam, itch.io, X, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and support mail.
How this hub sits next to the guides
Open the planner after you have already learned the click loop on how to play. If you are still deciding whether to buy, the review and the demo guide are better first tabs than a checklist. The planner exists for the hour when the room has started deleting itself and your memory of which chair went quiet is worse than Hector’s.
A good tool for Dissolution of My Self is boring. It stops you from clicking a blurred chair for three minutes. It does not pretend the chair was a key to a hidden throne room.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is there a damage calculator or tier list?
No. There is no combat. The useful tracker is the memory order planner.
Will a planner reveal a secret ending?
No. It only records click order and pills. Endings explains the single finale.
Do I need tools for a first run?
No. Play. Use a planner on a second file or if you forget which objects already blurred. Objects is the companion list.
